Coronavirus Response

Chapel Hill-Carrboro Meals on Wheels has moved to a new way of delivering meals as a result of the Coronavirus (CoVid-19) coming to our area. To help make deliveries as safe as possible, we are delivering food about once a week, using shelf-stable food. This means we need to "surge" volunteer capacity on delivery days.

We all are looking for ways to help our neighbors and to do something to help our community get through this challenging time. Volunteering for CHCMOW is one way to do that. We need volunteers to:

  • Join our phone brigade to make calls as we organize our next delivery day.
  • Sort food so all our recipients continue to get the balanced meals they need.

If you help, please fill out the volunteer application today.

If you are unable to volunteer but want to help, please donate! Shelf-stable food is more expensive than our normal fresh deliveries, and we are meeting an increased need for meals as well.

Thank you!
